Sam Anning has been a familiar face — intent, smiling, cheeky, engrossed, joyful — behind the double bass at so many concerts in Naarm/Melbourne, but that’s going to change soon when he heads to Germany in February to take up a post there. Let’s hope that he will visit often. In the meantime, here are some images from the recent concert at The Jazzlab featuring Daniel Gassin on piano, visiting from France, and Aaron McCullough at the drum kit.
